Jim is the founder, broker of record and President of the Jacobs Realty Group.

However the title he really prefers is “Chief Rainmaker”…

Jim has been extremely active in commercial real estate for the past decade and is responsible for the strategic direction of the firm. The firm started as an idea to better serve clients in an attentive boutique atmosphere. Recently, under Jim’s direction, the firm was voted the “Best Commercial Real Estate Brokerage” in the coveted “Best of the Main Line” award by the Main Line Times and Main Line Suburban Life.

Jim has vast experience working with a wide range of clients from a new upstart restaurant concept to publically traded institutions, hedge funds and private developers.

A number of Jim’s transactions have been featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal, Philadelphia Inquirer, Main Line Times and Daily Local, and he’s been interviewed by various local news programs such as Action News and has lectured on real estate to various groups of Main Line business owners as well as at Saint Joseph’s University.

In addition, Jim is a principal with JFJ Realty Partners, who own, develop and manage a private real estate portfolio consisting of several multifamily properties within the Philadelphia region. He also serves on the board of his homeowner association and is actively involved with property management of a 49 home community including property management, financial budgeting, and making
decisions on and selecting vendors and signing contracts for the community.

Previous to his career in real estate, Jim worked with a start up company, Eziaz, a Building Centric Local Exchange Carrier, which specialized in providing
internet services to multi-tenant office buildings. He started as one of the first 5 employees and the first Senior Director of Sales, which including
building a nationwide sales team and selling to clients nationwide. Eziaz peaked at 750 buildings under service in 52 cities and the funding was provided by Crosspoint, Comcast, Edgewater Funds and a group of REIT investors.

Jim is also extremely active in the local community. He’s an avid ice hockey player and still plays travel ice hockey as a captain of the Wissahickon Warriors. In addition, he is also head coach of a youth travel team there as well. He’s also involved with various local charities and business networking groups.

Jim is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University and attended additional classes at the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University. Jim is also close to completing all his requirements for the coveted CCIM designation, something only 3% of all commercial agents hold. He resides in West Chester with his wife Teresa and three sons.
